Meet Alex
Rescued June 2004

Hi,
I'm Alex and I thought I would write and tell you about my new experience. My new Mom and Dad had to go out of town so they left me in a place called "Paws Paradise". It is a pet resort. I had my own room with toys and we had a TV room for all of us to watch doggie movies. It had playground equipment, a sand box and a doggie pool to splash in the water. I missed my family for a short time. I tried to chew up the mini blinds as soon as they left but once the lady introduced me to some new friends, I was fine. I jumped through a hoop and played on the equipment. I really had fun and Mom and Dad got a GOOD report card.

I'm not quite ready to travel to other peoples' houses yet. I am still a puppy and still aggressive when any stranger comes around but I know I will outgrow that. I'm very protective with my mom and dad. Yesterday they put a doggie door in the apartment, so now I won't have any accidents in the house.

We have lots of fun. I still wake Mom early to play and she chases me through the house. Well, Mom and I better go for now. She is helping me type this. I think Dad wants to play games on the computer. Tell my friends at Affenpinscher Rescue hi, and that I hope they find a nice home too..........Love, Alex

UPDATE - Alex has been adopted and has adapted so well. Here's a note from his mom.

He also travels well. He woke me this morning with his toy in his mouth ready to play fetch. This was at 6 am. He is a joy. Myrna and Ej

And here's another note from Alex...

Hi,

I am writing to tell you about my new home. My new Mommy and Daddy love me so much. They play with me and Mommy showers me with kisses. I have a new name (Alex) which I have responded too from the start. I have my own bed (my cage) next to their bed. I am comfortable sleeping in the cage because I was used to sleeping in one at my foster Moms. They don't even close the door at night so I am free to get water in the middle of the night. They went shopping and bought me toys. I wake Mommy every morning (at 6 am) with a toy in my mouth so we can play. She chases me around and around the couch trying to get my toy, but I can run faster than she. I am so glad you found me a nice loving home and Mommy appreciates your help so much. Daddy took pictures this morning (trying to learn how to use his new camera). We will send you one when he downloads them. P.S. Mommy says if you need any help in this area please let her know...........Alex
