Meet Arnie
Rescued 2006
Adoption Application

Arnie largeArnie large 2

I am shy Affenpinscher who loves to play and cuddle  with my foster mom and the other Affens I live with. We play so much that my foster family doesn’t need to watch TV anymore because we are so entertaining when we play!   I really love stuffed toys and “puppy socks” and will carry two or more around with me!   My foster mom thinks I would be really good at agility because I run like the wind, can be very focused and I quickly learned some basic obedience commands.  I am still working on housetraining and if my foster mom will remind me to go out often I am very good.  Riding in a car makes me nervous and I get car sick, but I am getting better.

I am searching for an experienced family or single person who is willing keep working and playing with me and who will continue teaching caring and loving me.   My foster mom thinks I am really worth it.

June, 2008 new info on Arnie:

I am tall for an Affenpinscher, but I have the biggest sweetest Affenpinscher eyes you will ever see and an Affen personality!  I weigh 13 lbs and am approximately 3 years old.  I have changed a lot since I was first rescued.  I can still be a little shy around the guys, but I have been to training, know basic obedience and will sit for treats, my meals, before going outside and having my leash put on. I am a very fast learner!   These are a few things I really love to do: run fast and play with the other Affens ( I think I might really be good at agility), play with stuffed toys and the “puppy socks” my foster mom makes for me, and will carry my toys and socks around with me.  I walk nicely on a leash and like to go for walks, be with my foster mom, watch TV with my foster family in my own bed sometimes cuddled up with another Affen and of course sleep with my foster family.  My house training has improved and any accidents are usually the fault of my foster family.  The only thing I really don’t enjoy is riding in a car, but I have gotten better and am trying to adjust to it!   I would be satisfied being the only dog, but would love to have another Affen or dog with which to enjoy life with my new family.
