Hi. 

My name is Beauregard, but my foster mom calls me Beau.  I am eight years old and in good health.  I just had a physical and teeth cleaning and the vet was very happy with my health.  I am blind in one eye but that does not slow me down.  When I first came from the puppy mill I was terribly shy and still am somewhat.  I cower when mom tries to pick me up, but I have discovered couches are for jumping on, beds are for sleeping on, and my natural bossiness is emerging.  I get along with my foster brothers and sisters,  but much prefer my Affenpinscher sister over the poodles. I will take naps with her and invite her to play.  I do growl at and chase the cats. Mom does think it is just for exercise though, and Humphrey cat comes and rubs all over me without consequences. 

I am mostly housebroken.  Mom takes treats outside and gives them to me when I comply.  Things are really working out.  I just never knew what was expected of me because no one took the time to teach me.  There is just one thing I beg of my forever home.  I get really stubborn outside when I do not want to walk, and can slip even a really tight collar in a heartbeat.  I need to be on a harness or in a fenced yard at all times to be safe.   I think I would really like to be with some people with lots of times and no children, but if you have another dog, that would be cool.  I am a cuddle bug and have a lot to offer if given time to show you.  Love me, please.
