Meet Celie Rescued 2008 Adoption Application

Celie is a gorgeous black and silver Affen girl who weighs 11 lbs. and is 9 years young.  Affenpinschers live long lives, so she is not even middle aged!   Celie lived the first 7 years of her life in a very unhappy place, but she is a happy girl now.  Her foster family and friends have been inspired by her courage and intelligence in overcoming her beginnings.

Celie is very shy and fearful of new people, places and situations.  When startled by loud noises or quick movements, she will run and hid. If you have enough love and patience in your heart, you can earn her trust.  Then you will see her perform her “happy dance” and she will shower you with kisses!

Celie requires a fairly quiet home and at least one dog companion she can turn to for support in stressful situations. She also requires a securely fenced yard and someone that will be home with her most of the time. She is house trained as long as she can go outside every 2-3 hours and has a puppy pad to use at other times. She is leash trained and crate trained too, but would prefer to sleep in bed with her family..

Celie is healthy, heart worm negative, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and are being fostered near Chicago, Illinois.
