Meet our little Dodger! She is a very sweet girl. She gets along well with everyone and is just the most loveable dog you'd ever like to meet. She likes to play with toys and is very friendly. We think she is only about 1 year old. Just a baby!
Not too much is known about Dodger's
past. She was found wandering the streets in the a pretty rough neighborhood
in a city in Oklahoma. According to the animal shelter, she was a bit on the
thin side but otherwise, not overly dirty or seemingly uncared for. She was
held at the shelter but no one came in to claim her. The shelter labeled her
as a terrier mix. On her last day at the shelter (a kill shelter), she was recognized
by a fellow rescuer as possibly being a pure-bred Affen or Affen mix. That rescue
group took possession of Dodger and posted her on PetFinder.com. Affen Rescue
saw her there and took her into their program.
Her foster mom has exposed Dodger to every situation that she can possibly think
of - kids, cats, other dogs, new people, riding in a vehicle, sleeping on the
bed, housebreaking, etc. She has passed all evaluations with flying colors.
She is such a lovely girl with a heart full of love. She loves to play and will
play on her own if no one else is interested. She had a blast playing with her
foster mom's 7 year old grandson. Her husband has officially declared Dodger
to be a "lap lizard"! She
walks on a leash and will go potty on a leash.
Dodger has been spayed, is up to
date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and has had a 6-month Proheart shot
(heartworm preventative).
