Meet Jenny Rescued May 2003

Jenny, an Affenpinscher/Shih Tzu mix, had a guardian angel looking over her shoulder one day last May. She was in a city shelter in southern Indiana and was actually being carried from her cage to the euthanasia room when a woman with a small rescue saw her and said that she wanted her.

When the woman cleaned her up and realized that she was an Affenpinscher mix, she e-mailed Affenpinscher Rescue. She wanted to be sure that Jenny went to a home that knew about Affens, because as she said, "Affens are a special kind of dog."

Jenny went to a wonderful family in TN who did have an Affen. She was loved enormously, but she could not get used to one of the other dogs in the family, and after much time and with tremendous regret, the family had to call us and return Jenny to Affenrescue. She is a wonderful dog that is extremely devoted to her owner, and would be perfect in a one or two person home with no other dogs or cats. She has a lot of love to give, but does not like to share her beloved people with another dog.
