Meet Jesse Rescued May 2004

Jesse came from a puppy mill in Michigan and has turned into a great little guy. He is a little over three and weighs about 14 pounds. His coat is shiny and all the sores are gone. He is handsome boy
now that he is being groomed monthly. He has come a long way from the little man that didn't know what a
cookie was!

Jesse is very loving & wants to be near me. When he first came home with me he stayed about 10 feet away and now he sleeps with me. He is free with his kisses. He is afraid of other people but he is working on it. Remember
that he spent the first 3 years of his life in a cage. If I am sitting down he will get in my lap if anyone else is near. If I am not sitting down he will go in my bedroom and lay on the bed while they are there.

He is not deaf but doesn't hear well. Sometimes when I call them in from the yard he doesn't hear me. Spenser, one of my schnauzers, somehow knows to go back out & get him. He has had one surgery on his ears and will have a second one shortly. It won't bring the lost hearing back, but it will stop any more loss.

Jesse is a beautiful, sweet dog.
