Adoption Application

Hi!  My name is Manni, and I'm so happy to finally
get a chance to introduce myself to you!

My foster mom says Manni is a Danish or German name meaning "God is with us". She says it is the perfect name for me because she knows for sure God was with me before I found my way to Affenpinscher Rescue. I think she's right because I did lots of praying before I was rescued, and I know God's still listening to me while I anxiously pray for the loving forever family I've always dreamed of to read my story and decide I am the perfect little guy they've been praying for too. Could that family be yours?

But first, I want to share my story with you! It starts off kinda sad, but the ending is really happy! I'm just a kid at about 2 years old with lots of spunk, who loves to kick up my heels, play and simply enjoy life. I do not have time to dwell on the past, because life is too short for that kind of stuff, and besides, I'm having way too much fun now! At a sturdy little 14.5 lbs. my foster mom says I'm the perfect size for an active family who wants an energetic little guy who can keep up with them, but at the same time small enough to be a snuggly lap pooch!

Manni before grooming
This is me before the ACO saved me. Those matts
were horrible and I had an awful eye infection!

If it was not for the ACO who saved me, I might not even be alive right now to tell my story! The ACO found me embedded with matts, green electrical cord and vines wrapped around one of my back legs, my shoulders and ears. My eyes hurt too from infection. I ended up going blind in one eye, but don't worry, because I can see just fine out of the other one, and I don't let anything slip by me!

Mannis matts
Can you see the electrical cord and vines embedded in
the matts? I was soooo uncomfortable!

The ACO's nice groomer took off all those nasty stinky matts, and made me feel and smell good again, but I looked so awful she could not see that I was an Affenpinscher, so she gave me a Shih Tzu cut instead (ha-ha-ha). But that's okay, because everyone says I look very cute anyway! The ACO even took me to the vet to get medicine for my eye infection, and THEN they called Affenpinscher Rescue to help me find the perfect forever home!

So now here I am now: safe, warm and very much loved in my foster
home while I wait for my new forever and ever home!

Every day I do my little happy dance because life is really good now! Heck, some days I do my happy dance 5 or 6 times or more! This is GREAT!!!! My foster mom thinks I would be a terrific therapy dog in rest homes or hospitals because I love everyone and I'm a real little gentleman on a leash. I like going for rides in the car too. My foster mom puts a halter on me, safely attaches it to the seat belt, and away we go for a hamburger at the local Sonic...ain't nothin' better! MAN, THIS IS LIVIN' !!!!!

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you: my foster mom says that I'm an extra good boy because I have not had any accidents in the house. But heck, that part was easy for me because I never lived in a house until now, so it does not make any sense to me to pee/poo indoors! What kind of idiot would do that anyway? (ha-ha-ha)

So if you're within driving distance of Kansas City, maybe we can figure something out so we can meet real soon after you fill out my adoption application!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Love,
Manni

P.S. I am neutered, micro chipped, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, and I'm on heart worm preventative too!
