My name is Miss Ellie and I am between two and three years old. I'm looking for my forever home and I'm hoping that you are the one for me. My forever parents are going to need to be very special people. I came from a commercial breeder and I still have a little bit of a problem with trusting people totally! My foster parents have a grandson who has shown me that it doesn't hurt to be petted and loved, but I still am not quite sure about approaching anyone and asking for that attention. I know how to stand still and let them come to me and show me affection. I do want the attention, but no one showed me how to ask when I just a young kid, so my social skills are not the best. I am a good student and I'm learning though. I weigh approximately 20 pounds and consider myself to be a BBA - (big beautiful Affenpinscher) and I am in good health. I'm not aggressive or mean. I really would love having a home where a doggie door is available. I love to run around in the yard and just feel the freedom of being able to move around a large space. I spend most of my time out there, again except when it's storming. There's just something about all that loud noise and bright lights that really shakes me up. You'll need to make sure that I can get behind you to hide when that's happening!
Although life with my foster parents is wonderful, I dream of having my very own mom and dad who will love and cherish me. A human brother or sister would be okay too, if they are over ten. I'm afraid of younger children.
If you think you might be that special family for me, please fill out an application and tell Sarah that you would like to find out about Miss Ellie. I promise to love you very much and root for your football team. I am in Oklahoma.
Your friend,
Miss Ellie Affenpinscher
Update: Miss Ellie has been adopted!! Miss Ellie is happily romping with her new mom and dad, three affenpinschers and a wire-haired fox terrier. They all live in Hot Springs, AR.
