Rescued in the deep south, Miz Mary
is a true Southern gentlewoman. Impeccably housetrained, she is most companionable
and enjoys lounging on furniture, the bed and lap. She smiles and wags her tail
when she sees you looking at her. She is in canine paradise when her tummy is
rubbed. She is good with other dogs but is a little timorous with big cats.
She is afraid of the dark and doesn’t like rain much. She would be a wonderful
companion for anyone who wants to treasure a small and loving dog. She may try
to run out an open door so putting her on leash will be necessary.
UPDATE - Miz Mary has been adopted!
My new home is in Atlanta in the winter and Maryland the rest of the year.
My new Mom's name is Jean. She lost her husband of 57 years this past April
and her daughter thought I might cheer her up. I'm living the life of luxury
now. A real Southern Lady. I have a HUGE porch to watch the squirrels and
horses on a farm just south of Atlanta and my new Mom is the best. She
takes me for walks 3 times a day so I can visit the horses and enjoy the
beautiful weather in the South. We're constant companions and I just love
her. She treats me like a queen. I have toys, a winter coat and am even
going to dog obedience class. God was looking out for me. See there really
are happy endings for me and even my new Mom Jean.
