Meet Oscar - Chicago

My name is Oscar and I started out in Rochester, MN. I got separated from my owners and ended up in a shelter. Affenpinscher Rescue heard about me and I came to live in my foster home outside of Chicago. I have a foster brother named Otto. I was scared of Otto at first, but he kept asking me to play and now and I love to chase him around the backyard. We are both really fast and it makes my foster family laugh when we go back and forth. I also like to wrestle with Otto all the time and try to push him out of the way so my foster mom will pet me first.

I love my foster mom. I like to sit on her lap and be in the same room as she is all the time. She also lets me snuggle in and sleep with her at night. I go nicely into my crate when they leave the house. They have a really tasty coffee table but they don't want me to nibble on it when they are away. When I first came to my foster home, I didn't know that I wasn't supposed to go potty inside! My mom tells me what a good boy I am when I go outside and sometimes even gives me a treat. I am very proud that I know how to do it correctly now.

I weigh about 16 pounds and my mom thinks I might be part Pug because I have a silkier coat than most Affens and a little curlique tail. I like it when my foster mom brushes me. I am adjusting pretty well but I still startle easily and small children who run up to me and are noisy, still make me afraid. I would love a forever home with older kids who can be quiet and gentle with me-but play fetch too!
