Meet Sammy Rescued 2009

Hello, my name is Sammy. I must have had a hard life before the animal control officer rescued me. I had lost half my coat, was covered in fleas, and very skinny. Now I am full of vim and vigor. I have no fleas and no worms. I've gained a pound and my coat is regrowing. Now to get to this point I did have to make several visits to the vet. She's OK - in fact I give her lots of kisses - but she also gave me shots and neutered me. I love to play. I'm still a puppy at less than a year old. My favorite thing is to be right with my human. I sleep while she works (right beside her) but when she takes a break I am all ready to play. My foster home has two big dogs and I like to boss them around. One of them has become my best playmate. There is also a cat here. I like her and try to get her to play but she's crotchety and just hisses at me. I am looking for a forever home with someone who will dote on me.

This is Sammy's foster Mom. He's a great little dog, all 8 pounds of him. He's smart - loves a game of chase but you don't have to be too fast as he just loves the thrill of the game. He is heartworm negative and on Revolution as a preventative and for flea control. He must have some allergies as he sneezes when walking outdoors in the dry leaves and 1/2 his coat was gone from flea allergies when he came to live with us. His coat is regrowing very nicely and 1/2 a Benadryl controls any itching. He is down to an as needed on that now. He especially responds to women. He will make a wonderful companion.   Sammy lives in far eastern TN.

Sammy has been adopted!! He is living in Atlanta in his new forever home.
