Hi! My name is Savanah and I am up for adoption, along with my little girl, Sadie. The day after I was rescued from a commercial breeder, I had one puppy. Nobody even knew I was pregnant, or they wouldn't have let me go. We would really liked to be adopted together. Since I only had
the one puppy, we are VERY close and play very well together.
I am more shy than Sadie is. She has been loved since the day she was born, but I am still learning how to give and receive the love I never had. I am getting used to it though. Once I know you, I wiggle all over when you talk to me or give me treats. I will use a potty pad but prefer to go outside. I like to run and run. We
both LOVE toys. We sleep together in a large crate and we do fine.
Sadie is black, is 5 months old and weighs between four and five pounds, and she is still growing. I am belge, which is a mixture of red, silver, and black. I weigh between seven and eight pounds and about three or four years old. My foster mom doesn't know for sure.
We both promise you a lifetime of love and fun.
Affenly yours,
Savannah and Sadie Affenpinscher
Sadie is in her new forever home in New Jersey.
Update on Savannah: Little Ms. Snickety (Persnickety Ann) crept into my life March 1, 2008, a terrified, insecure bundle of trembling fur. Only one person had ever been nice to her and shown her love, and now this other person was stealing her away. After a long plane trip with her new mom, she arrived in White Plains, NY, not being sure if she would stay or not. She heard her new mom express concerns about Snicks being able to relax and whether or not she should go back to her first mom, Val. But the new person tried so hard to make her comfortable and there were no other dogs she had to complete with for attention, food, anything, that she decided she should at least act like the other person could be her new mom.

Everything was done slowly and at Snick's pace - lot of encouragement and "what a good girl" you are. She loved being sung to and that's where her Affen side would come out. She would get so excited and happy! She goes to doggy day camp every day and while she is very happy to have the other dogs around, she would much rather to be with her mom 24 - 7. She loves going out for her walks and meeting her new friends. She walks up to people on the street and looks up at them imploringly, asking "don't you think I'm so cute"? Looking back, it almost unbelievable how far this dear little girl has come. She has brought so much to my life and I love her dearly.
